Simon Baldwin
Senior Vice President (Asia Pacific)
Simon Baldwin is the Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific at SecondMuse, where he leads the firm’s work designing and financing place-based, regenerative economies that align capital flows with ecological regeneration, community well-being, and long-term market resilience.
His work focuses on innovative finance and economic design, spanning blended and outcomes-based mechanisms, regional investment facilities, and ecosystem-strengthening initiatives that accelerate the transition to circular, climate-positive, and nature-based economies. Through SecondMuse’s Future Economy Lab™, Simon has led the co-development of financial strategies and investment mechanisms that advance economic transformation across Asia. Building on his leadership of The Incubation Network, which supported more than 270 startups, mobilised millions in capital, and diverted over 40,000 tonnes of plastic waste, his work continues to demonstrate how innovation and finance can drive systemic change.
For over two decades, Simon has worked across government, private sector, and UN agencies in more than a dozen countries, helping build the capacity of markets and communities to navigate complex transitions. His research and commentary on regenerative economies, blended finance, and circular systems have been published across multiple platforms.
Based in Singapore, Simon is driven by the challenge of reimagining how capital can create inclusive prosperity and resilience across Asia and beyond.
