Lara Croushore
Head of Climate
Lara Croushore is Head of Climate at SecondMuse. She leads the development of the company’s climate sector strategy, and leverages her nearly 20 years of experience in strategy, policy, program design & implementation, innovation & entrepreneurship, and cross-sector collaboration, to ensure SecondMuses’s climate sector offerings are forward-thinking and impactful.
Prior to joining SecondMuse, Lara developed climate policy for the City of New York, as Chief Strategy Officer in the Mayor’s Office; Led climate innovation programs to grow NYC’s green economy, as Vice President at New York City Economic Development Corporation; and served as founding Managing Director at Urban Ocean Lab, a non-profit ocean-climate policy think tank for U.S. coastal cities.
Lara has an MPA in Environmental Policy from Columbia University, and a BA in Environmental Science from Boston University. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her two dogs. In her free time, Lara is an active volunteer with several community-based organizations. She is Director of Climate at Cape May Point Arts and Science Center, a local environmental non-profit in Cape May Point, NJ. Lara also serves as Chair of the Advocacy Committee for Equality Cape May, an LGBTQIA+ civic action and social justice organization in Cape May County, NJ.
