The Role of Extended Producer Responsibility in Thailand
SecondMuse, a leading innovation firm that drives sustainable growth, commissioned the Environmental Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University (ERIC), to investigate the potential market-level impact and implications of a national-level rollout of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) on Thailand’s plastics value chain, market, and ecosystem. The report provides insights into the importance of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and offers a perspective on the new law being drafted in Thailand. So, companies, investors, and related organizations could gain an understanding of EPR ahead of the policy changes.
With the aim of helping stakeholders in driving plastics circularity in Thailand, the report also explores the Roadmap for Plastic Waste Management 2018-2030, a policy approach to reduce the use of single-use plastics and achieve 100% plastics recycling within the packaging industry.
